Keewal Meere is a banking concept for francophone West Africa and its diaspora: a chequing account with a card, savings that earn, African stocks and crypto, and currency exchange with the margin shown before you confirm.
It is a working prototype, in French, that you can explore as a demo today. It is still in progress, and this page will grow with it.
Sending money home and investing at home are two different apps, two sets of fees and a lot of fine print. Keewal Meere puts your francs, your savings and your investments on one screen, and never hides the exchange rate it is charging you.
The design is warm and calm on purpose: a cream ground, a gold accent, Poppins for everything, and a dark theme for the evening. The welcome screen is one photograph of a Dan mask, one line, Votre argent, réuni, and a sign-in by email code, with a moon toggle for the dark theme in the corner. No password to remember, and the demo is one tap away.
Under the hood it is built to the standard a bank would expect: a strict content security policy, self-hosted fonts so nothing loads from third parties, and a theme that paints correctly before the first frame.
01 - Onboarding
Sign in with a code sent to your email, create an account, or explore the demo. No passwords, no friction, in French Canadian first.
02 - Accounts, savings and investments
One home for the chequing account, the savings rate, African equities and crypto, with the same visual language for all of them.
03 - Honest exchange
The margin on every currency conversion is displayed before the confirmation, not buried in the receipt.
04 - Light and dark, done right
Two themes that follow your choice or the system, with the browser bar coloured to match so there is never a seam above the app.
Keewal Meere is a prototype in progress. The onboarding and the demo are live, and the account experience is being built screen by screen.
